(12/18/14) Carl W. Brayman, 77, of Lawnwood Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. Born in West Greenwich, RI, he was married to Susan M. (McConnell) Brayman for fifty-seven years and was the son of the late Wallace F. And Emmaline (Gardiner) Brayman. Carl was the owner/operator of C. Brayman and Son Firewood and Logging of Coventry, RI, for forty years. He was also a truck driver for the State of RI for 12 years until retiring in 2000. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He belonged to the American Legion Gordon Greene Post #27 in Hope Valley and was an avid NASCAR fan. Besides his wife he is survived by a son; John C. Brayman and his wife Mary-Lou, a granddaughter; Jamie A. Leco, two great granddaughters; Emily and Olivia, a brother; Wallace E. Brayman and two sisters; Jennie Garberg and Esther Dumas. He was predeceased by a brother; Leon Brayman. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Interment with Military Honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI. In lieu of flowers donations to the SS.
