(02/16/15) Cumberland – Leslie “Les” J. Malloy, Jr., 73, formerly of High Street, died Saturday, February 14, at the Philip Hulitar In-Patient Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Joy E. (Chauvin) Malloy. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Leslie and Martha (Schneider) Malloy, he had lived in Central Falls and Pawtucket prior to moving to Cumberland twenty years ago. Mr. Malloy had worked for many years as a jewelry maker and model maker for the Giovanni Jewelry Co. before retiring. He loved tinkering around the house and making new things, and he loved collecting coins, and fishing. He is survived by his children, Tracy Pineda, Armand Pires and Shawn Pires, all of Cumberland; and five grandchildren, Armando Pires, Olivia Pires, Sophia Pires, Alex Pineda and Ty Pires. Visiting Hours, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Wednesday, February 18th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
