(04/17/15) Carol E. Wood (Pendleton), a lifelong resident of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2015. Born in Westerly, RI, she was the wife of the late Raymond G. Wood and the the daughter of the late William E., Sr., and Harriet A. (Hunt) Pendleton. Sister to Audrey Dusza, Helen Bromley, William E. Pendleton, Jr., and the late Harriet Langlais. Carol was a telephone operator and later a supervisor for New England Telephone until her retirement. She was a member of the Telecom Pioneers. Carol was a communicant of the Cornerstone of Faith United Methodist Church and a lifelong member of the United Methodist Women in Coventry. She will be especially missed by her guardian, niece Cathy Brown. A Celebration of Carol\’s Life will take place at the Cornerstone of Faith United Methodist Church, 1081 Main Street, Coventry, RI at a date and time to be announced. Burial will be private.
