(05/18/15) Mary B. (Friel)Francois, 90, of Warwick passed away Friday at the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley. She was the loving wife of the late Ken Francois, her wartime sweetheart. Born in Whitburn, Scotland, a daughter of the late Hugh and Mary (Clarkin) Friel, she was a long time Warwick resident. Mary worked at John Hancock Insurance for 11 years and volunteered for the Prevention of Blindness for 9 years. She then joined the Kent Hospital volunteer staff at their information desk, where she worked for 25 years. Mary was a caring and generous woman and a dear friend to all. She was the devoted mother of Ken Francois and his wife Jeanna of Groton, MA; the late Donald Francois and former daughter-in-law Patty Lewis of North Kingstown and Greg Francois and his wife, Cheryl of Palmer, AK; doting grandmother of eleven and great grandmother of six. She was the sister of the late and James E. and Matthew C. Friel, Patricia Murray and Margaret Moran. Her funeral will be Friday at 8:45 A.M. from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick at 10 AM. Calling Hours are Thursday 5-8 PM.
