(01/09/13) Walter D. Ouimette, Sr., 65, of Providence Street, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Pine Grove Health Center, Pascoag, RI. Born in Providence, RI, he was the husband of Kathleen M. (DeLellis) Ouimette. They were married for thirty-nine years. He was the son of the late Harold and Eva (Therrien) Ouimette. Walter was a stationary operating engineer for oil burners for many years. He belonged to the Dabormida Club of Warwick, RI. He loved his dog Sadie, enjoyed television, movies and restoring cars. Besides his wife he is survived by six children; Robert, Erica, Kevin, Harold, Monique and Gregory Ouimette, a sister; Harriet Zanni and four grandchildren; Harold II, Edwin and Hannah Ouimette and Nicholas Barone. He was predeceased by a son; Walter D. Ouimette, Jr., five brothers and one sister. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 9:30 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI.
