(06/20/15) Cumberland – Paul S. Kwasniewski, 75, of Cumberland died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn V. (Best) Kwasniewski. Mr. and Mrs. Kwasniewski were married for 55 years. He grew up in Webster, MA, a son of the late Stanley and Agnes (Pietruska) Kwasniewski, and had lived in Cumberland for the past 46 years. Mr. Kwasniewski was a 1956 graduate of Bartlett High School, Webster, MA, and a graduate of the RI School of Electronics. He was a maintenance mechanic for Olin Hunt for 25 years, retiring in June 1990. He served in the U.S. Navy during peacetime and was a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard from 1980-1991. He was a former member of the Polish White Eagles and a member of the New England Pumpkin Growers Association. Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Donna Desmarais and her husband, Anthony of Harrisville, David Kwasniewski of Pawtucket, and Daniel Kwasniewski and his husband, Joseph Iannone of North Smithfield; one sister, Phyllis Osedacz of Cumberland; his five beloved grandchildren, Sydnie, Kyle, Alyson, Anthony and Chris; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln Wednesday 4-7 P.M. His funeral and burial will be private.
