(07/15/15) Thomas A. Denton, 86, of Archambault Avenue, West Warwick, RI, passed away on July 13, 2015 at his home. Born in Coventry, RI, he was married to the late Rachel Marie (LeBeau) Denton and prior to that, to his first wife; the late Beverly J. (Parenty) Denton. He was the son of the late William J., Sr. and Eva M. (Paul) Denton. Thomas was a US Navy Veteran, having served in WWII and worked as a tank teaser for Star City Glass Works in Coventry, RI for 30 years until his retirement. He is survived by eight children; Thomas G. Denton, Beverly J. Logsdon, Linda L. Courtney, Diane L. Jacques, Steven A. Denton, Lori A. Allen, Lorna I. Doumont, and Wayne M. Denton, four brothers; Jesse Denton, Albert Denton, Leonard Denton, and Roland Denton, a sister; Dolores Hern, thirty-two grandchildren, fifty-eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers; Donald, William, Wilfred and Richard Denton, and two sisters; Bertha Fraser and Rita Denton. A funeral service will take place on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 8:45 am from the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 am from St. John and James Church, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick, RI.
