(07/11/14) Joseph S. Mancinho, 88, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at his home. A lifelong West Warwick resident, he was a son of the late Antonio and Estrella (Furtado) Mancinho. Joseph was a Secretary in the Textile Industry until his retirement and served in The United States Navy during WW II. He was a life member of AmVets and a member of the Holy Ghost Society. He was the beloved brother of Mary Marandola and George W. Mancinho, both of Coventry and the late Manuel, Antonio, John and Frank Mancinho, Mabel Boisclair and Ida Perry. Loving uncle of several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in SS Peter & Paul Church, 48 Highland Street, West Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 12, Memphis, TN 38101 would be appreciated.
