(08/01/14) Roger Pichette, 84, of Fall River, husband of the late Youenna (Simon) Pichette, died Thursday, July 31, 2014. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was employed by the New Bedford Standard Times for 34 years. A member of Post 486, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion, Post 314, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was the father of Donald Pichette and Cheryl Sarmento (husband Wayne), all of Fall River and the late David Pichette (wife Patricia of Watertown) and the late Robert, Gerard and Richard Pichette; the grandfather of Robert, Rebaeka and Gerard Pichette, Crystal Monast, Erin Chappell, Jennifer Nicolau, Heidi McHugh and the late Rhonda McCabe; the brother of Arlene Moran of TN and the late Ronald Pichette; the son of the late J. B. Eddie and Louvianna (Daigneault) Pichette, and also leave great-grandchildren, two great-great-granddaughters and nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow.
