(08/08/14) Maureen D. Diamonte, 73, of Horta Drive, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice of RI, Providence, RI. Born in Providence, RI she was the wife of Edward D. Diamonte. They were married for forty-six years. She was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Kenney) Anderson. Maureen was an operating room nurse for thirty years at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI, until retiring. She also worked for Koch Eye Associates, Warwick, RI for twenty-three years. Besides her husband she is survived by two children; Dennis E. Diamonte and Julie A. Rossi, two brothers; James Anderson and Joseph Anderson, two sisters; Kathy Blair and Patricia Uhrich and two grandchildren; Taylor and Anthony Rossi. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 9:00 am from the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in the St. Joseph\’s Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick, RI. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in the Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick, RI.
