(09/28/14) Irene S. (Derois) Demers, 99, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Golden Crest Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Earl J. Demers. Born in Lakeport, NH, she was a daughter of the late Euzebe and Alouisia (Tremblay) Derois. Mrs. Demers was a winder for Lebanon Mills until her retirement in 1975. She was the beloved mother of Jeanne T. Sarault and her late husband Bob of Rehoboth, MA, Ernest E. “Pete” Demers and his wife Virginia of Georgetown, TX, Claire J. Sarault and her husband Mike of Lincoln and Donald L. Demers and his wife Carrie of Saratoga Springs, NY. Loving grandmother of eleven and the late Lynne A. Sarault. Cherished great grandmother of fourteen and great great grandmother of three. Mrs. Demers was predeceased by her eighteen siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 11:00 am in The Chapel of The St. Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at The St. Jeanne Jugan Residence.
