(10/23/14) Manville – Ruth A. Valois, 81, of Bouvier Avenue died Monday, October 20, 2014 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. A lifelong resident of Manville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Blandine (Valois) Valois. Miss Valois was a bookkeeper at Comtorgage Corporation, North Smithfield and later at Halifax Floral, Pawtucket for 20 years before retiring. She was a communicant of St. James Church, Manville. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. James Church and a counselor for the SPRED Movement. She was a 52-year member of the Secular Institute of the Oblate Missionaries of Mary Immaculate. She is survived by one brother, Louis J. Valois of Narragansett; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edouard Valois, Pauline Picard and Roger Valois. Her funeral will be held MONDAY, OCTOBER 27 at 8:30 A.M. from BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Relatives and friends are invited and may call SUNDAY 2-5 P.M.
