(11/07/14) Paul A. Cournoyer, 80, of Jefferson Drive, Coventry, RI, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. Born in Providence, RI, he was the husband of Barbara A. (Duffy) Cournoyer. They were married for thirty-eight years. He was the son of the late Albert W. and Gertrude (Laperriere) Cournoyer. Paul was a foreman for Norton Company for thirty years until retiring. Besides his wife he is survived by three children; John A. Cournoyer, Anthony M. Fiore and Sheila A. Fiore, a brother; Albert Cournoyer, two sisters; Claire Cournoyer and Lillian Mayers, three grandchildren; Jessica, Stefanie and James (JT), and two great grandsons. He was predeceased by a son; Paul Cournoyer and a sister; Mary Cournoyer. His services will be private and are under the direction of Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI.
