(11/05/14) Stephen J. Doyle, Jr., 73, of Sheffield Avenue, Coventry, RI, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, RI, he was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Byrne) Doyle. They were married for forty years. He was the son of the late Stephen J., Sr. and Helen (Worthy) Doyle and brother to the late John T. Doyle. Stephen attended the Citadel Military College in South Carolina. He worked for the State of Rhode Island for over 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and a seasoned mariner. Stephen was a passionate sports fan. Besides his dear wife he is survived by four children; Stephen J. Doyle, III, Amanda H. Doyle, Matthew T. Doyle, and his wife Lisa, Stephanie J. Doyle, and the late Sheryl (Doyle) Dube. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10:00 am in the St. John and James Church, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick, RI.
