(01/09/13) Pawtucket – Theresa “Terry” (Sorel) Casavant, 87, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving children on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Edgar E. Casavant. They were married in Jacksonville, Florida and then returned to Pawtucket where they made their home and raised their family for over sixty years. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Oscar W. and Clarinda (Ballard) Sorel. Terry was an active member of St. Cecilia’s Women’s Club and a Scout Leader at the Church. She was an avid bowler for over 20 years and a member of Bally’s Health Club for over 35 years. She strongly believed in exercising mind, body and spirit. Terry leaves twelve children, Robert, Suzanne, Rita, Albert, Pauline, Eugene, Janet, Peter, Paul, Marie, Frances and Michele; two brothers, Roland Sorel and Maurice Sorel; a sister, Marie Cecile Domingos; 32 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Raymond, Oscar and Leo Sorel. VISITATION will begin Saturday at 1 p.m. followed by Services at 4 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
