(11/05/14) Stephen J. Doyle, Jr., 73, of Sheffield Avenue, Coventry, RI, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, RI, he was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Byrne) Doyle. They were married for forty years. He was the son of the late Stephen J., Sr. and Helen (Worthy) Doyle and brother to the late John T. Doyle. Stephen attended the Citadel Military College in South Carolina. He worked for the State of Rhode Island for over 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and a seasoned mariner. Stephen was a passionate sports fan. Besides his dear wife he is survived by four children; Stephen J. Doyle, III, Amanda H. Doyle, Matthew T. Doyle, and his wife Lisa, Stephanie J. Doyle, and the late Sheryl (Doyle) Dube. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10:00 am in the St. John and James Church, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick, RI. (11/04/14) Lorraine M. “Lorree” (Pineault) Saucier, 76, of Fall River, a 58 year employee of Nate Lions, wife of Ronald G. Saucier, died Monday, November 3, 2014. A kind and generous woman, she gave everything she had to her family and would help anyone she could. A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1956, she enjoyed scratch tickets and working with her “second family” at Nate Lions. Besides her husband of 52 years, she leaves two sons, Michael Saucier and his wife Cindy and David Saucier and his girlfriend Maria, all of Fall River; a grandson, Zachary Saucier; a step-granddaughter, Hannah Dias; a brother, Maurice Pineault and his wife Claudette of Tiverton and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Rita (Ouellette) Pineault. Following cremation, her funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Born in Warwick, RI, he was the son of the late Carmine and Maria (Ionata) Santilli. Anthony worked in construction and excavating for forty years for Skurka Contruction of West Warwick until retiring. Prior to that he worked for Coca Cola of Providence, RI for ten years and Steve Soucy Construction for fifteen years. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII. Anthony is survived by a daughter: Donna M. Narcovich, a son: Robert Santilli, two granddaughters: Christina and Melissa Mathias, five great grandchildren and a dear friend: Milton Skurka. He was predeceased by four sisters: Theodora Santilli, Dora Styga,Yolanda Nortorgiacomo and Rose Gazzerro. She was the wife of the late Emile W. David. Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Omer and Adriene (Brule) Morin. She was a lifelong resident of West Warwick. Mrs. David enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Dennis M. David and his wife Anne Marie of Palm Coast, FL and Joseph B. Auburn Hospital School of Nursing, she worked as an RN for 31 years at General Hospital in Cranston, RI, retiring as Assistant Director of Nursing. After retiring, Alice spent many enjoyable years splitting her time between her homes in RI and FL. Marsha enjoyed her early career as a cosmetologist and stylist before joining Raytheon as a sub-assembler working on the Patriot Missile defense system. She was actively involved in her community where she started the \\”Adopt-A-Kid\\” program providing Christmas and Easter gifts for underprivileged children and was recognized as an Anti-Hunger Hero by the Emergency Food Center in 1994. She is survived by her son, Kevin Kirkconnell of Mckinney, Texas, his wife, Andrea and their three sons, Kyle, Justin and Garrett, her son, John Kirkconnell of Salem, New Hampshire and his wife, Alison, her granddaughter, Elizabeth Kirkconnell of Palm Coast, Florida and her twin sister, Mary Brelsford of Swansea, Massachusetts. For 36 years Marieanna taught literature and writing, touching countless lives and amazing all who knew her with remarkable memory and her ability to overcome nearly every obstacle with hard work and determination. (Valerien) Morrissette; they had been married for 36 years. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late J. Emile and Leonida A. (Turcotte) Morrissette and step-son of the late Yvonne (Turcotte) Morrissette. He was a resident of West Warwick for most of his life. Mr. Morrissette was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Northeastern University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He was the 1st co-op student to work at Sylvania Electronics. Later he was employed at Raytheon as a financial analyst working with programs associated with NASA for many years. He established a business that conducted classes at CCRI concerning family financial counseling. He was a communicant of SS. John & Paul Church, a life member of Club Frontenac where he served as assistant treasurer, a life member of the P.V. Historical Society and a former board member of the East Greenwich Chapter AARP. Besides his wife he leaves a sister, Eveline Jennings and her husband Dr. James Jennings of Montpelier, VT; several nieces, nephews and cousins and two grandnieces and a grandnephew. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary C. (Appleton) Warburton. Sister Mary Hope entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1934 and professed her vows in 1939. Sister graduated from St. Xavier Academy and received commercial certification from Bryant College; a degree that served her well as secondary teacher at St. Xavier and at St. Mary Academy, Bay View. From 1936 until 1969, Sister taught in elementary schools in Providence, Pawtucket, Newport, and Warwick. In 1970 she was assigned to the Guidance Department of St. Xavier Academy. In 1973, Sister Mary Hope returned to her first love; teaching children in St. Matthew’s School in Cranston. In 1985, Sister went to Bay View for secretarial work and to proctor study periods. She retired in 1995 while still volunteering her services to the Mercy community. Sister moved to Franklin Court Assisted Living in 2001 and then to Mount St. Rita in 2010. We remember Sister Hope for her indomitable spirit which sustained her during her long life and ministry. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Ralph of South Kingston and her beloved nieces and nephews. Sister was pre-deceased by her brothers, William, James, and Leo and her sisters, Ruth McEntee, Rita Veech, and Anna Reynolds. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at 11:00 am in Mount St. Rita Chapel, Cumberland, RI. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 am at Mt. St. Rita with a Mercy Prayer Service at 10:20 am. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. (11/12/14) Pawtucket – Claire R. (Blanchette) Beaudette, 96, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Herve Beaudette. Born in Attleboro, a daughter of the late Lionel and Mary (Lemieux) Blanchette, she resided in Central Falls before moving to Pawtucket over thirty-five years ago. Claire had been a housekeeper at the Wannamoisett Country Club, and was previously a winder at American Insulated Wire Company for twenty-five years and at the Joyal VanDale Company for twelve years. She leaves a son, Paul A. Beaudette and his wife, Alona Rotkovitch of Warwick; a daughter, Therese R. Stewart and her husband, Kevin of Holliston, MA; four grandchildren, Aaron Beaudette, Abigail Beaudette, Brian Stewart and Meredith Stewart-Carey and her husband, Hal Carey; two great-granddaughters, Claire Rose Carey and Reese Ann Carey and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ernest Blanchette, Albert J. Blanchette, Ernestine Hawkins, Elda E. Blanchette, Irene Cole, Rose Robinson, Romain J. Blanchette, Alfreda Richardson and Beatrice McKenna. VISITATION will begin Saturday at 9 a.m. at WILLIAM W. She was the former wife of Donald Burns of Warwick. Loving mother of Christopher J. Palmisano of Texas, Jason Ead of Coventry, Justin Ead of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Joseph Ead of Coventry, Jessica Ead of Coventry and Courtney O\’Reilly of Warwick. Cherished grandmother of Madilyne, Lorelei and Christopher.
